The fallout from the arrest of former prince Andrew has touched basically every member of the British royal family. There are questions of how much everyone from King Charles to Prince William knew, and how long they protected Andrew. But there’s no doubt that the fallout has mostly concentrated on Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
Amid all the noise and reports that the Andrew investigation for suspicion of misconduct in public office has even affected Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s marriages, Beatrice reportedly received a very thoughtful Mother’s Day gift from her stepson, Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi. The nine-year-old, known as Wolfie, was pictured making a handmade card in a photo shared by his mother, Dara Huang.

“Making his stepmom a Mother’s Day card” Huang captioned the story, alongside a pink heart emoji. She also added, “I taught him how to draw a (bee emoji).”
Beatrice has been keeping a low profile since news of her father’s arrest first surfaced. Though reports indicate she’s been going through a hard time. Heat reported that “The princesses are devastated by what’s happening – their worlds are falling apart.”
The report continued, “Jack and Edo [their husbands] are both doing their best to be supportive, but the strain is affecting their home life. Their view of their parents has been irreparably shattered, they’re facing social ruin, and now Jack and Edo have been dragged into the drama, as they are facing questions about Andrew – it’s mortifying. Obviously, it’s not the girls’ fault, but that doesn’t mean it’s not causing tension.”
Both Beatrice and Eugenie have been portrayed as innocent of their father’s dealings, though a leaked email from June 2011 showed Andrew pushing for his daughters to receive £50,000 each in payments from billionaire Jonathan Rowland. There’s no proof the payments were ever made, but the reports have put the two under a microscope amid the continued investigation into their father and reports that their mother could be next.
The Daily Mail reported that both Beatrice and Eugenie have been struggling with what happened. “Both girls are very highly strung and emotional, like their mother,” a royal source said. “Beatrice is trying to come to terms with it matter-of-factly, although can’t help bursting into tears regularly – not for her father but for the implosion of her own world and, especially, the family’s cold shoulder. Her royal status means more to her than Eugenie.”
Her sister, meanwhile, “has apparently gone into denial – fingers in the ears, head in the sand, hoping it will all go away.”
Neither sister has made a statement since Andrew’s arrest and there’s reportedly “debate” about whether they should. “Jack and Edo want to know how long this is going to drag on. Both Eugenie and Beatrice have so far chosen to remain silent, and there are certainly some people who wonder if they’re doing the right thing by keeping so tight-lipped and feel they’d be better off speaking out.”
