Exact Time Savannah Guthrie Will Return to Today Revealed as She Pleads She Can’t ‘Grieve’ Until Her Mom Is Brought to Her ‘Final Place of Rest’
When the Nancy Guthrie investigation started, there was an understanding from the public that Savannah Guthrie would not immediately return to her job at the Today show while her mom was missing. But now, with the investigation nearing two months, questions about her possible return have started. Particularly considering Savannah is now back in New York, and even visited the set of the show to thank her castmates and crew for their support.
But is she planning to come back? RadarOnline claims she is, and that return could come in the next few “weeks,” with the outlet claiming she’s waiting until after Spring Break so she can spend as much time as possible with her husband and kids. After the kids return to school, she is set to return to the show unless there’s any development regarding the search of her mother.

A source told Page Six: “There is no announcement regarding Savannah’s return date, and Hoda will remain filling in for her.”
Guthrie is back in New York after spending the first month after her mother’s disappearance in Tucson with her siblings. She visited the set of the Today show after her return and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, told the staff, “I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope and I’m still me. I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be.”
She also reportedly said, “I have every intention of coming back. I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family and I would like to try.”
However, sources have also indicated that Savannah is reevaluating her public persona after what happened. A source told Radar Online that Savannah Guthrie fears that her job might have had something to do with her mother’s disappearance. “Savannah is devastated – and fearing the worst. She’s trying to be strong, but this has shattered her,” the insider said.
“She’s questioning everything – her career, her public life and whether staying in the spotlight is worth the risk to her family’s safety.”
Savannah’s latest post on Instagram was an image of a religious painting, with the words, “I believe, I believe.” Before, she’d shared a statement from the family asking for “renewed attention” and pleading with the public to consult “camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations or conversations that in retrospect may hold significance.”
“We continue to believe it is Tucsonans, and the greater Southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding resolution in this case,” the statement said. “Someone knows something. It’s possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realize is significant.”
“We miss our mom with every breath, and we cannot be in peace until she is home. We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder. Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life, but we cannot do that until she is brought to a final place of rest,” the family also said.
Police have gone back to canvassing the neighborhood and paying specific attention to an empty house close to where Guthrie was kidnapped. They’re also investigating a reported internet outage the night of the abduction.
The reward for information about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance is up to $1 million.
