Consequences for the former prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, have included Andrew being stripped of their titles and the two having to vacate Royal Lodge. It’s not much considering their names appear in the Epstein files, and Andrew has been accused of much worse than just misconduct in public office. But as things stand right now, it means Andrew has moved to a house in the Sandringham estate and Fergie is…no one knows where.
One thing we do know, she’s not staying with either of her daughters. And if Princess Eugenie has her way, that will continue to be true. The Daily Mail reported that Princess Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank‘s “code of honour” is such that he will not “completely desert Andrew and Sarah” in this complicated time, but he refuses to “step into the line of fire himself.”

“His first loyalty has to be to his wife and their two young children. The whole sordid affair has already brought them a great deal of unwarranted attention and he won’t do anything to increase that,” the source added.
And that means that Eugenie’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, won’t be coming to live with them. “Eugenie and Jack are resisting any suggestion from her mother that she should come and live with them. Because to be frank Sarah is difficult to live with and they don’t want the responsibility of looking after her at the moment.”
The outlet also states that they are “concerned about her welfare,” but “refusing” any suggestion that she move with them.
Fergie has reportedly stayed at different wellness retreats in the past few months, including in the French Alps, Switzerland, and Ireland. She was also reportedly staying with friends in the United Arab Emirates for a while, as well as with close friend Priscilla Presley in New York.
Reports from Hello! indicate Eugenie and her sister Beatrice are not “abandoning their father,” with the friend saying, “They aren’t turning their backs on him. But everything is obviously very strained and hard.”
As for Fergie, royal author Robert Jobs told the outlet that the two have “been very sympathetic” towards their mother, but said, “that might start to unravel.” Why? Well, a source told Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack recently that Fergie was hiding (in the UAE at the time) following Andrew’s arrest. “She has gone into the fire,” the insider said. “This isn’t a holiday. It’s survival. She will be arrested next if she returns to the UK.” The source added, “It’s only a matter of time — it’s inevitable.”
Us Weekly had reported last month that both Andrew and Fergie are “miserable” and in “survival mode” amid renewed scrutiny over their ties to Jeffrey Epstein. “They are miserable,” the insider said. “And misery loves company.” The source continued, “There’s no real return to royal life. [They’re] very much in survival mode.”
What will their daughters do next? Will they keep their distance or will they jump into the fire with their parents? The answer seems to be the second.
