There have been reports that King Charles will meet his youngest son, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle, on his upcoming visit to the United States. Things between Charles and Harry have been better since the two met last year, though that reunion hasn’t led to the kind of reconciliation people wanted. It also hasn’t led to a meeting between Harry and William.

Now, Rob Shuter is reporting that there are rumors that Trump plans to invite Harry and Meghan to the White House during the state visit. Imagine the drama. “Trump doesn’t just host events — he casts them. And this would be his dream lineup,” the source said. Trump has, after all, always had a flair for the dramatic. He did host a show called The Apprentice.

“A king, a rebel prince, and Trump in one room? That’s not a state dinner — that’s a finale,” the source also said.

King Charles is expected to attend a state dinner and address Congress as part of the U.S.’s 250th anniversary celebrations. And Trump is reportedly interested in being seen as the peacemaker between father and son. “There’s real talk of framing this as a ‘peace moment.’ Trump wants to be seen as the guy who brings everyone together — whether it works or not,” the source added.

On par for the course. “Trump is the ultimate showman. If there’s a chance to turn diplomacy into must-watch TV, he’ll take it every time,” the source also said.

But not everyone is happy with the idea. “This isn’t reality TV — it’s a family fracture. You can’t script emotions like this,” sources said. “Sometimes just putting the idea out there is the move. And no one trolls the room — or the world — better than Trump.”

However, if the meeting does happen, it might be monumental. “If Harry and Meghan walk into that room, it won’t just be history — it’ll be television.”

RadarOnline had previously reported that a meeting was happening. “Charles is expected to come in April,” said a royal insider. “But on the agenda will definitely be a meeting with Harry. Charles wants to see his son – and his grandkids.”

“He will be delighted to see them again,” the source said.

But even if the meeting does happen, that doesn’t mean a meeting with his brother is in the cards, even if William is also set to participate in the state visit. “While Charles is hoping to mend his relationship with Harry, William wants no part of it. And that’s likely never going to change,” the source said.

For Charles, this comes after reports that he is planning to abdicate soon. RadarOnline also reported that the King is planning to abdicate soon. “King Charles is going to step down. He is going to abdicate, and they are going to use the excuse of his health, which has been declining because [the situation with Andrew] has been very stressful and almost too much for him to bear,” a royal insider said.

Reportedly, it will happen soon, too. Rob Shuter’s “Naughty But Nice” Substack reported earlier this month that Charles is expected to step down within the year. “The transition will look measured and dignified. Health provides the most unassailable explanation,” the source said about Charles‘ battle with cancer. “Charles will not be seen as pushed,” the source added. “He has waited a lifetime for this role. When he steps back, it will be entirely on his terms.”
