Ever since the drama between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni was first reported, people have been curious about how Taylor Swift, famously Lively’s friend, fit into it. As everything started to unfold, there were multiple reports that Swift was indeed involved, offering support to Lively at one point, and that Lively brought Swift up as leverage against Baldoni. In fact, some rumors even indicated the two women’s friendship had been affected by all the drama.

But are they still friends? Recent rumors indicate that Swift did not invite Lively to her wedding, and just recently, the actress posted a carousel on Instagram that people took as a dig at Swift. The pictures were of her latest trip, and there was a reference in the caption to her “loved ones,” but the post did not include a picture of Swift, which fans interpreted that Swift was no longer considered one of Lively’s “loved ones.”

“so thankful for the best week with my loved ones. Thank you @wrexham_afc and all the players and everyone who works at that stadium for the performance of a lifetime. 🤯♥️🤩 The greatest 10,000 people to share an emotional roller coaster with is in Wrexham 🥰,” she added. “*shout out to everyone (like my sweet sister in slide 10) who thinks someone is taking a photo of their cute outfit, when it’s really a video 😆💀”

And with the Justin Baldoni defamation suit now in the discovery phase, expect a lot of private communications to be made public. “This is Blake’s worst nightmare,” one insider told Rob Shuter. “Discovery means texts, emails, DMs — everything could come out.”

Reportedly, Swift is also concerned. “Taylor is very aware of this,” the source added. “If she’s mentioned anywhere in those communications, it could drag her into a legal and PR mess she never signed up for.”

Baldoni’s team is attempting to prove that damaging narratives and leaked messages were in a way responsible for the scandal surrounding It Ends With Us. Now the issue, of course, is that this could expose many people other than Lively. “This isn’t just a lawsuit anymore,” an insider said. “It’s a potential exposure of how Hollywood really operates behind the scenes.”

“There’s real anxiety,” the insider revealed about Lively’s camp. “They know once discovery starts, there’s no controlling what comes out.”

Which seems to be exactly what Baldoni wants. “This is about to get a lot messier,” the source said. “And a lot more public.”

So, are they still friends these days? We might have to wait until Swift’s wedding to get a concrete answer, but there were reports when Swift’s album came out that the song “Cancelled” was about Lively. If so, then this only proves that their friendship is on solid ground, because instead of being a diss track, the song is very, very supportive.

“Good thing I like my friends cancelled” Swift says in the track. “I like ’em cloaked in Gucci and in scandal.” At one point, she also adds, “Where it gets quite dark, At least you know exactly who your friends are. They’re the ones with matching scars.”

Doesn’t sound like what you’d say about a friend you’re not inviting to your wedding.
