One of the problems of a trial is that everything will come out. In some cases, that’s a good thing. In others, some of the stuff revealed can be a little embarrassing. That seems to be the case for Prince Harry, who reportedly got very flirty with a particular reporter a decade ago, one he claims to have met only once.

RadarOnline revealed that Harry sent Mail on Sunday reporter Charlotte Griffiths personal messages calling her “sugar” and discussing “movie snuggles.” The texts were presented on March 31 to the High Court in London as part of Associated Newspapers Limited’s defense in the civil lawsuit Prince Harry has against them. The company owns both the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday.

Harry and Griffiths became Facebook friends in 2011, and the prince reportedly gave the journalist his private phone number. Both attended a party in June of that year, and the next day they exchanged texts. Then, in December, Harry sent the journalist a Facebook message reading, “It’s H, in case you were confused by name and picture!!! X.”

Griffiths responded, “Hello, Mr Mischief… Did you get home OK slash did you actually find your car and did you beat Arthur down the motorway more importantly?!” She added, “What a fun weekend of naughtiness – can’t we all get up to no good in the countryside every weekend, damn it?? Smooches, CG String. Xxx”

The messages didn’t stop there, with Harry saying that it was “without doubt the best of those weekends I’ve been to,” and also adding, “What a crowd. Never laughed so much in 24hrs!!” But he did find time to poke fun at the nickname the journalist gave him. “Mr mischief? How do I get that title … l was surely no worse than anyone else!!”

A few days later, Harry wrote to the journalist again, telling her she “missed a good party last night.” And in January of 2012, there’s an exchange where Griffiths refers to Harry as “H Bomb” and tells him, “We missed you so much at Arthur’s last week.”

Harry, who was then training as an Army Air Corps pilot, wrote, “Just wish I could have been there … especially now that you’re there! Dou ever work?!!…. Hope you’re really well Griff … Miss our movie snuggles!!”

The journalist testified earlier in March that the last time she and Harry met up socially was in June of 2012. Harry had previously testified that the two only met once and that he “cut off contact” once he found out Griffiths was a journalist.

Prince Harry has sued ANL for unlawful information gathering, including phone tapping and the use of private investigators. Final arguments were presented on March 31, and the judge will announce his ruling at a later date.

This all comes amid speculation that Harry and his father, King Charles, could be meeting again in the near future. The King reportedly is eager to see his grandchildren, whom he has not seen in years. There’s no date set for a possible meeting.
