When King Charles and Prince Harry met in September 2025, it felt like a big step forward in repairing their relationship. But even though the two have reportedly been in contact since, they haven’t met again, and Charles has not had a chance to see his grandkids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. So, is another reunion coming?
Rob Shuter is saying that everyone’s trying to make it happen in the US, while the King visits the country later in April. And Harry would love to bring his kids.

“He wants to bring the children,” one insider told Shuter. “This isn’t just about him — it’s about reconnecting as a family.” And though the gossip journalist warns that things are far from certain, everyone involved is trying to make it happen.
“They’re working on the logistics now,” the source said. “It would be completely private and off the official schedule.”
Of course, King Charles will be visiting the US on an official visit, so timing and location could end up being an issue. He is set to fly to Washington, D.C., to meet with President Trump. Harry is in California.
“That complicates everything,” the insider explained. “You’ve got a state visit on one side and a very personal family situation on the other.”
So now there’s talk of finding common ground in New York. It takes Trump out of the equation, and it means King Charles doesn’t have to fly over to the other side of the country. “It’s neutral ground,” the source said, “And easier to keep under the radar.” Everything is, after all, happening in New York, at all times.
And though the meeting in September went a long way towards improving the relationship between father and son, this new meeting could be key towards changing the relationship for good. “There’s still a lot to heal,” the insider added, “But there’s also a real desire to move forward.”
Especially if Harry does bring his kids. “That could change everything,” the source added, “It makes it emotional — not just diplomatic.” Reports have indicated that Charles is eager to see his grandkids, who he hasn’t seen for four years.
“This isn’t about headlines,” Shuter reported. “It’s about family — and a chance to start again.”
RadarOnline had previously reported about the visit, “Charles is expected to come in April,” said a royal insider. “On the agenda will definitely be a meeting with Harry. Charles wants to see his son – and his grandkids.” And it comes as RadarOnline also reports that the King is planning to abdicate soon. “King Charles is going to step down. He is going to abdicate, and they are going to use the excuse of his health, which has been declining because [the situation with Andrew] has been very stressful and almost too much for him to bear,” a royal insider said.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are also expected to accompany King Charles to the United States for this particular state visit, but no one is suggesting the meeting will involve them. For now, it seems to be about reconciliation for father and son. The siblings will have to wait, if that ever happens.
“While Charles is hoping to mend his relationship with Harry, William wants no part of it. And that’s likely never going to change,” RadarOnline’s source said.
