It’s easy to understand why the former prince Andrew and Fergie have both been basically shunned by the British royal family. Right now, it’s about damage control, and the last thing the royals want is for there to be any perception that they were protecting Andrew, even if that’s likely what happened for many years. At the very least, the institution looked the other way. But at this point, everyone would like to pretend that didn’t happen.
And that’s probably why the repercussions have touched even their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who have not been directly involved in the Epstein scandal. When it’s about optics, caution is always the number one rule.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital that even though King Charles is still “fond” of Andrew’s daughters, their presence would have “overshadowed the event,” which is what everyone is trying to avoid.
“It has been clear for some time that the York brand is toxic with the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the disgrace of Sarah Ferguson,” Fitzwilliams said. “It is no surprise that their daughters Beatrice and Eugenie will not be joining the royal family for Easter as they often have in many previous years.”
However, the situation appears to be fluid. “This would have overshadowed the event, and it was undoubtedly mutually agreed that they would not attend. In contrast to reports that indicated they would not attend Royal Ascot as part of the royal party, there are now indications that they and perhaps their spouses may be in the Carriage Procession,” Fitzwilliams added.
“The King is known to be fond of them and to admire the way they balance family life, days jobs and some charitable activities though not as working royals,” Fitzwilliams explained. “This seems to indicate a thawing of relations, though I would be surprised if they attended any of the Buckingham Palace Garden Parties.”
And even this little positive movement might be for naught once William is king. “It has been rumored that William might one day favor a different, tougher approach,” Fitzwilliams also said.
Rob Shuter had previously reported that the sisters not attending the Easter service wasn’t optional. “It was decided for them,” he said, and put the decision squarely on William.
“William is tightening the circle,” an insider said. “And this is what that looks like.”
And this paints a very clear picture of what the future will look like for both Beatrice and Eugenie. “Charles may still be king,” the source said, “but William is making the decisions that matter,” adding, “This wasn’t about Easter. It was about control.”
RadarOnline had also recently reported that, despite the fact that Beatrice and Eugenie did not deal with Epstein directly, their connections to what happened are enough for the royal family to want separation.
“There is a real concern that Prince William wants their heads on the chopping block as part of a harder line on which royals should remain publicly associated with the institution,” a source told the outlet. “Beatrice and Eugenie feel like they are living in horrific limbo. They have spent years carefully building respectable private lives, yet the fallout from their parents’ controversies keeps circling back to them.”
