The series premiere of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island is still days away, but StyleCaster has an exclusive sneak peek at the first episode, “Welcome to Rhode Island,” which sees Housewife Jo-Ellen Tiberi do what Housewives know best: Get glammed.
In StyleCaster’s exclusive preview, Jo-Ellen can be seen getting her hair and makeup for her Fourth of July party that night, where her Housewives are sure to attend—and bring some drama. “Jo-Ellen and Rosie clash over rumors about Kelsey’s unconventional relationship. New to Rhode Island, Ashley learns to fit in with a group of friends whose history runs deep. Small town secrets come to the surface at Jo-Ellen’s Fourth of July party,” the episode description reads.

The scene sees Jo-Ellen get glammed with her 3-year-old daughter, Jolie, in her lap as her husband, Gary, chats with her. The scene continues with Jo-Ellen giving—or at least trying to give—a history lesson on the origins of the Fourth of July. “For the party, I’ve rented a house in Portsmouth on the water,” Jo-Ellen says in her confessional. “Fourth of July is huge in Rhode Island. I have no idea what Fourth of July is about. Plymouth Rock, Columbus. Plymouth Rock is in Massachusetts, which is our neighbor. It has something to do with the Niña, Pinta and Santa Maria.” She continues, “Fourth of July is big in Rhode Island, and I don’t know why.”
Jo-Ellen is one of eight cast members on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island Season 1, which also includes Housewives Alicia Carmody, Rosie DiMare, Ashley Iaconetti, Liz McGraw, Rulla Nehme Pontarelli, Kelsey Swanson, and Friend Dolores Catania.
The Real Housewives of Rhode Island premieres on Thursday, April 2, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Beginning Sunday, April 5, the series will move to its regular timeslot on Sundays at 9 p.m.
