The questions about Sarah Ferguson’s whereabouts have been swirling basically since Andrew was arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office. Part of it is that Ferguson has only been seen in public once since she vacated Royal Lodge, for her granddaughter’s christening in December. And part of it is that there’s been a lot of speculation about whether she will also be investigated for her Epstein ties, or at least asked to testify in Andrew’s case.
Reports indicated she’d been moving around, staying in different wellness retreats and even with friend Priscilla Presley. But now, The Sun is reporting that Ferguson has been staying at the same chalet in the Austrian Alps for the entire time she’s been lying low. The outlet shared photos on April 16 that showed Ferguson standing outside, dressed casually. She is reportedly still at the luxury resort.

The resort Ferguson is reportedly staying at costs a reported $2,700 per night.
“Fergie has been keeping an incredibly low profile while high up in the Alps,” a source told The Sun. “The area is absolutely beautiful and it’s very quiet most of the time, so it’s the perfect place for a high-profile figure such as her to lie low when the heat is on.”
Martin Barrantes, Ferguson’s cousin by marriage, told The Daily Mail about her: “I have spoken to her (and) can tell you that she just wants to protect her children and her grandchildren.” His younger brother, Raphael, agreed: “She loves her children more than anything and will do anything for them.”
Barrantes also said that he reached out to her a few months ago to offer his support. “Sarah is going through a difficult moment, and I wanted to send her our support, she is a valued member of our family.” Both he and his brother defended Ferguson, despite her multiple ties to Epstein.
“What people need to remember is that the real villain in all this is Epstein,” Martin Barrantes said. “Sarah was perhaps foolish to trust him and take such confidence from him, and I am sure she regrets that now.”
Ferguson publicly condemned Epstein, but kept in contact with him in private, referring to him as a “supreme friend” and “the brother I have always wished for.”
Helena Chard, a British royal expert, told Fox News Digital that the former duchess will continue to keep a low profile and that she’s still got support. “Incognito, anxious Fergie is keeping a low profile. She cannot believe how low she has sunk although, contrary to people’s thoughts, she is not destitute. Friends have stepped in to whisk her away from her stress,” she said.
“Viewed as generous to a fault, Fergie is reportedly being helped by those who are repaying the favor and helping her slip away from the press. Although Austria is known as a hotspot for wealthy patrons who host royals and ex royals… either way, the assumption is someone else is picking up the tab.”
Ian Pelham Turner, another royal expert, pointed out that Ferguson used to work in the area, so she could be staying with a former client or a friend. “At the moment, Andrew is I am sure, aware of the situation but keeping his distance so as not to betray her hideaway,” he said.
